KATAK（aka RandyTsoi）

香港を拠点に活動するサイケデリック・トランスDJ／音楽プロデューサー。かつては「Randy」名義で活動し、2012年にDJとしてのキャリアをスタート。現在はTranception-HKおよびYuanQi-CNのメンバーであり、香港のサイケデリック・トランスコミュニティ**「Psyternet Community-HK」**の創設者でもある。

TranceやTech Tranceから始まり、現在はDark Forestスタイルを軸に活動。それぞれの音楽性の変化は、自身の人生と成長の歩みを映し出している。これまでProgressive、Full-on、Twilight、Dark Psyなど、サイケデリック・トランスのさまざまなスタイルを探求してきたが、最終的に自身の表現としてForestサウンドにたどり着いた。

ロングミックスとアグレッシブなミキシングを得意とし、ダンスフロアのエネルギーを途切れさせることなくキープ。さらに、混沌としたサウンドを巧みに織り交ぜることで、唯一無二のセットを作り上げる。

自身が制作する楽曲は、まるで夜の森を思わせる神秘的な空気感に満ちている。モジュラーシンセサイザーを駆使し、予測不能で未知なるサウンドを生み出しながらも、その中には独自の秩序が存在する。オーディエンスを、まるで森の奥から無数のカエルの鳴き声が響いてくるような幻想的な世界へと誘うことから、「KATAK（＝カエル）」という名を名乗っている。

これまで香港、台湾、マカオ、中国、タイ、カンボジアなど、アジア各地のクラブや音楽フェスティバルに多数出演。近年は**@psyternet**ムーブメントを通じて自身でもイベントを主催し、香港のローカルシーンへの貢献とPsy-Tranceカルチャーの発展・普及にも力を注いでいる。

Hong Kong Psytrance DJ and music producer, formerly known as Randy. He entered the DJ industry in 2012 and is currently a member of tranception-HK and YuanQi -CN and is the founder of “Psyternet Community-HK” also.

From Trance and Tech Trance to the current Dark Forest style, each music style change represents his transformation and his journey through life. He dabbled all styles of psychedelic trance ; Progressive, Full-on, Twilight, Dark Psy and more… However, he settled for Forest as his style of predilection. love to use long and assault mixing skill to keep energy on dance floor. and add some chaos sounds on top for unique of the set.

The music he creates is full of mysterious atmospheric, like a forest in the dark. Love to use module to create full of unknown and unpredictable sounds, but it has its own rules. Let every audience feel like full of frog sounds in behind.That’s why he calls himself “KATAK”.

He has performed many times in different music festivals and clubs, Active in Asia. like HongKong, Taiwan, Macau, China, Thailand, Cambodia etc…. In recent years, has also organized his own parties via the @psyternet movement to contribute to local parties in Hong Kong and promote Psy-Trance culture.
