デスメタル、グラインドコア、パワーバイオレンスといったエクストリームミュージックに影響を受けたjunxpunxは、1994年に作曲活動を開始した。 ハードコアバンドFastsのギタリスト兼ソングライターとして、アメリカの名門ファストコア/パワーバイオレンスレーベルSound Pollution Recordsからアルバムをリリース。その後SONYの尾崎豊トリビュートアルバムに謎めいた形で参加しカラオケに「Sherry」Fastsバージョンをこっそり忍び込ませることに成功。その後バンドは解散した。そして民族楽器を用いた即興演奏ユニットや、シーケンサーを駆使したスペーシーなハードコアバンド前方後円墳,2AD等の様々なプロジェクトを経て、junxpunxとしてソロ活動を開始。 2014年、ロシアのOsom Musicから1stアルバムをリリース。これを機に数々の国際フェスティバルに出演し、3ヶ月に及ぶヨーロッパツアーも成功させた。 2016年、突然の激しい目眩により音楽活動とインターネット活動の両方から完全に離れることを余儀なくされた。しかし、2020年に自主制作のセカンドアルバム『目眩く』で復帰を果たした。
現在はギターとボーカロイドを取り入れ絶えず進化を続けている。そのサウンドは爆発的なエネルギーとサイケデリックな覚醒が交錯する空間に存在し、美しくも儚いメロディーは聴く者の感情に深く響く張り詰めた緊張感を秘めている。 現在サードアルバムを制作中。
6月のインドツアー、7月の静岡Gigからのメキシコツアーで培ったエネルギーで素晴らしい瞬間を作ります。

Influenced by extreme music such as death metal, grindcore, and powerviolence, junxpunx began composing music in 1994.

As the guitarist and songwriter for the hardcore band Fasts, and released an album through America’s Sound Pollution Records. During this era, the band made a cryptic appearance on Sony’s Yutaka Ozaki tribute album—successfully sneaking a “Fasts version” of the song Sherry into karaoke machines—before eventually disbanding.

Following various projects—including an improvisational unit utilizing ethnic instruments and the spacey hardcore band Zenpoukoenfun,2AD involving sequencers—he launched his solo career as junxpunx.

In 2014, he released his first album through Russia’s Osom Music, leading to performances at numerous international festivals and a successful three-month European tour.
In 2016, a sudden and heavy dizziness forced a total hiatus from both music and the internet. he triumphantly returned in 2020 with the self-released second album, Mekurumeku.

Currently, the project is in a state of constant evolution, incorporating guitar and Vocaloid technology. The sound dwells in the space between explosive energy and psychedelic awakening; its beautiful, fleeting melodies carry a hair-trigger tension that deeply resonates with the listener’s emotions.

A third album is currently in production.
